The GPFL annual meeting is in Tampa this year.

Join activists from around the state at the Green Party of Florida’s annual conference in Tampa. Learn about hot issues, meet and greet fellow party members, and help plan the direction of the party in the coming year.

TO REGISTER for the Event you will be directed to our Paypal Donation Page. Please fill out form there & click donation button to pay the Suggested Donation Registration fee of $20.00 (Only if you donate more than $200.00 per year are you required to provide your occupation.)
 If you choose to Register in person on the day of the event your Registration information & Fee will be required for admittance at the door. (We offer waivers if you are unable to afford the registration fee)

Michael Pheneger’s talk will titled: “Threats to our personal liberty” He will be speaking on ACLU’s various topics they are involved in, including but not limited to NSA’s the Mass Surveillance of all Citizens, the Patriot Act, the NDAA & more. See wmnf radio interview here.

@ 2:30 – USF Professor Martin Schönfeld, Climate philosopher

Martin Schonfeld’s Slideshow Powerpoint Presentation is titled: “Our Green Future—Designing Sustainable Cultures”

@ 3:30 – UUJ Board Member & Environmentalist Speaker Robert Keim

Robert Keim’s topic is titled “Slow violence: ecological sustainability”.  It will be related to  climate change and what we need to do to heal the planet. Robert is a Chaplin at Unitarian Universalist Church in the Pines, UU is a non-doctrinal, all inclusive church, so he will have a spiritual tone in his lecture.

(a brief Q&A time will be included after each speakers presentation.)

If the library’s multi level parking structure across from the library is full because of an event downtown, which is a possibility, then you can park a block away for $2 at the Royal Street Regional Lot. Just be wary of the one way streets when driving in downtown Tampa.
